Silver Wave Records, one of the worlds leading contemporary Native American music companies, has recently signed singer/songwriter Shelley Morningsong to a record contract.  Of Northern Cheyenne heritage and raised in the entertainment rich climate of Southern California, Ms. Morningsong has been a performer on stage and screen since her early childhood. Over the years she has honed her craft working alongside performers such as Charlie Daniels and Juice Newton. Most recently she has been a touring member of Native American Superstar performer Robert Mirabal's group.  Shelley’s newly released album is called “Out of the Ashes”.

  "Out of the Ashes" is produced by recent Grammy Award winning producer Larry Mitchell.  Shelley has also collaborated with her husband on the album, Fabian Fontenelle who is an original member of the American Indian Dance Theatre. 

Shelley's personal goals for her music:

To write and sing songs that will encourage and bring joy to people of all ages and from every walk of life.  Shelley is a poet and she writes concious music, words that speak about human issues of the heart and songs about our environment.  She believes that we are all connected, that everything is one thing. Music is the language that speaks to all people and through her music she desires to touch hearts and change lives.
